Professor Askat Jumabekov holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Dr. rer. nat.) in Physical Chemistry from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Munich, Germany). With nearly 20 years of experience in photovoltaic technologies, he has conducted research at leading institutions, including Ludwig Maximilian University, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Melbourne, Australia, and Nazarbayev University in Astana, Kazakhstan. A specialist in photovoltaics and nanomaterials, Professor Jumabekov combines experimental and theoretical approaches across physics, chemistry, and materials science. His research focuses on uncovering the fundamental principles of optoelectronic devices and exploring the properties of advanced materials. He is notably a pioneer in developing perovskite optoelectronic devices with back-contact architecture. At Nazarbayev University, he established a state-of-the-art laboratory for the fabrication and characterization of printed and flexible perovskite optoelectronic devices. Professor Jumabekov has authored more than 50 publications in high-impact scientific journals.
